Attempted shopping

Bethany and I attempted to shop today between other commitments. I was looking for something to wear for Easter, a dress or a pretty skirt. Unfortunately, we had no luck. I didn't even find anything that I was interested enough in to look at the price tag!

The prints were ugly, the colors were garish and the fabrics were cheap.

Why, oh why, is it so hard to find pretty clothes?

Amen.

We were talking at church about the verse in Titus 3 (or is it Timothy 3?) about a woman being beautiful because of submitting to her husband's love instead of beautiful because of make-up and clothes. I quipped that the temptation for pretty hair and clothes and make-up isn't a big draw for me. Gary said he wished I would buy a new dress. It's always been hard because of my height. But now, there is NOTHING in the stores that I'd even want to try on. Nothing. And when you limit it to the Talls or Ultra-Talls rack, then I have no desire to even think about new clothes. I'm usually happier with old things or hand-me-downs or Goodwill.

:( I'm sorry, Jane. The colors and print have been awful the last few years.

It's because the 70's came back and threw up all over the clothes racks.

I'm praying for the return of the 80's.
