Maybe I do, after all

Just back from yet another doctor appointment and more blood tests. My family doctor has managed to get me in to see a neurologist on Monday, but in the meantime, she wanted to see me this afternoon.

After checking me over thoroughly, she thinks that maybe what is happening is that my central nervous system is whacked out and "hyper" and that I am having a weird CNS reaction to one of the viruses that's going around. So she thinks maybe I do have a virus, after all.

I have had weird CNS reactions to things before, but not quite like this and not for a long time.

I definitely like this explanation better than recurring GB, and since rest is the current prescription either way, that's what I'm doing this weekend.

If it might be viral, do garlic! Garlic on the soles of your feet and garlic on your salad and garlic on your toast. But don't let garlic get in the way of your REST!

It's so funny. Just before I read this, I just told the kids that I was going to try Mrs. G's garlic tricks.:}

You have been in my thoughts and prayers all through today. Glad that it appears it is the lesser of 2 evils.

Rest, heavenly rest!

Well, good. I hope that's all it is and that it passes quickly!

I saw something online last week about a neater way to garlic-up your feet. It said to put several cloves through a garlic press, put the garlic in a tiny bowl or shot-glass, and cover with olive oil. After half-hour of leeching the medicinal properties of the garlic into the oil, you can rub the oil into your feet. That sounds much nice than my version of vaseline and garlic powder. But I'm lazy; the garlic powder is easy and doesn't take a half-hour of prep-time.

I did the garlic powder last night. I think tonight I'll have one of my boys prep it in olie oil for me. :)

Jane - have you read You Are What You Eat by Dr. Gillian McKeith? Lots of "healing the immune system" stuff there.
