Seventeen and counting

I was challenged by a drive-by commenter on a post in which I called President Obama a hypocrite. I stand by that. He is a hypocrite.

Did anyone besides me see his big no-lobbyists-in-this-administration speech? It was all show. He has already exempted 17 lobbyists from the rule. And as this story notes, you won't hear that in the American media. It was left to the Times of India to cover what is really happening in our government.

We can add a second tax cheat to his cabinet when Tom Daschle is confirmed. (Oh, yeah, by the way Daschle is a lobbyist and so is his wife.)

I know I have commented before about this... but thanks for saying some of this stuff. I have never before felt so "uncool" or such an outsider for questioning some of Obama's actions. While I voted for Bush both times, I was never blind to his mistakes and it seems like Democrats just can't admit that some things don't make sense. Obama also seems to be doing a lot of backpedaling lately on the economy and other topics. But then, I don't just cheer for one side... I cheer for the country even if most of my opinions and beliefs coincide with Republicans. Keep at it Jane... I love reading your thoughts!

Oh my, it would take more than one book just to document all of the hypocrisy...

I stand by your standing by the hypocrite comment. In fact, I think I'll go over to my own blog and call him a hypocrite just to show solidarity!

P.S. It was awesome meeting you this weekend. You're just like I thought you would be!

Let us remember in times of chaos and insanity, God is in control...and if He wasn't we'd be up a creek without a paddle, with a huge waterfall beating down on meters of snarly rocks.

How about sitting in the Oval Office in shirt sleeves and telling the unwashed masses to turn their thermostats down? How about promising "healing" for New Orleans when Kentucky is being hit hard right now? Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.
