Wow. Just wow. What a list.

I've started the Silmarillion also; don't think I'll ever get through it.

If you like the Princess Bride at all (aka if you do Beer, Brats and Bride) you should read the Princess Bride book. The movie got most of its best parts from the book.

How many books do you put in the Wrinkle in Time series? Do you count the ones with Meg's daughter as a new series, then?

I always loved the Betsy-Tacy series. I'd like to visit Mankato someday.

So you've read all six books in the Hitchhiker's Trilogy? :)

Is it good or sad that the majority of these books that I've read, I've read on my own, not through school?

Me neither on the Silmarillion.

I'll have to read the Princess Bride.

There are six books in "The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide." (Actually, five novels and one long-ish short story.) :)

Yeah, I've read most of them on my own, too.

I didn't see it on the list, but I'd highly recommend The Count of Monte Cristo.

It is simply decadent. Especially if you can make it through the unabridged version. If not, the abridged version is quite good as well.

The Princess Bride was written after the movie.
