Multi-tasking gone wild

So, while waiting in the green room I heard one mom talking about a guy she saw driving down the road talking on one cell phone and texting on another. This morning on my way to work I saw something that beat that.

I saw a guy talking with a blue tooth, texting, and SHAVING. Yes, shaving.

Shaving doesn't really take all that much concentration...

I'm not in favor of such laws, but I see the reasoning behind Illinois' "No Texting" law every day. Idiots. They just need a passenger to text for them, like I have... :)

Laws shmaws. As our shaving friend kindly points out, people have been finding ways to dangerously distract themselves since long before we all had cell phones. The highway death rate has been flat for the past 15 years as distractions have multiplied like crazy, so for all the studies showing texting to be uniquely distracting, it hasn't actually resulted in any statistical increase in accidents. They just need to leave us alone. Hrrrmpf.

My all time most shocking driver was reading a book, while talking on the phone. She could barely keep her car on the road. It must have been a really good book, but probably not good enough to die reading.
