The big news

So, last time I blogged about why I've been too busy to blog. Well, I'm going to be busier.

Bethany is engaged to be married in August. We are in a frenzy of celebration and planning. It's going to be a big wedding, in part because they both have good-sized families, and in part because we have such a wonderful church family and as-close-as-blood friends among the Lutheran homeschool crowd.

So, a few major details need to be nailed down, and then back to house preparation and getting ready to move.

Congrats! Redeemer got that new kitchen just in time. :)

You should probably just hire someone to move you guys. Because, really, you can't be bothered with packing at a time like this. I mean, between cardboard boxes and taste testing appetizers . . . there's no contest.

This is such a happy and exciting time! I know this is hard (impossible?) for you to do, but I hope you'll find a way to protect some of your time these next few months so you can savor these moments. Try hard :o) Love you!

I know you want to go crazy with the planning, but Bethany is mature and creative enough to plan at least half of it. Maybe even Evan will help out ;-) What matters the most is that she's marrying the man she loves, and that will happen with or without an absolutely perfect wedding and reception. You'll have fun for the most part in the planning, and I know you've been looking very forward to this time :-) You've gotten the main things out of the way already, so I'd say you're doing quite well.

So when the move, the unpacking and the wedding are over, we should get together and scrapbook all this. Don't forget to keep taking those pictures of the entire process (both events).

That would be fun! I am trying to remember to take pictures right now. It hasn't been easy!
