I want a cleaning lady

Really, I don't care if it's a lady. I just want someone to clean my house. Someone that isn't me.

It's not that cleaning is that awful. I used to get paid to clean other people's houses, and I really didn't mind. I'm not sure why I hate cleaning my own house so much.

Nobody pays you to clean your own house!

If I could just get someone to pay me for cooking nice meals for my family....

I don't mind cleaning....but I really don't like thinking about dinner every night and then making it. I wish I could hire a cook!

Laura, meet Jane. She'll cook your meals if you clean her house.

Don't thank me, just send chocolate.

What a fantastic solution, Melanie.
If only it weren't for the pesky 300 miles that separate us.

I'd love to swap cooking for cleaning. :)

As the person who does the majority of the house cleaning...

I don't know if I would do it for someone else, but I imagine it might have something to do with the customer appreciating what you have done and paying for it, whereas spouse and kids in your own house give you a thank you and proceed to muck it up again. You know next week it will be back to dirty, or worse. :)

It's always more fun to clean someone else's house.

Alas, my house is so bad that I've given up and only do the absolute necessities to continue functioning (bathroom and kitchen). I would be mortified if anyone saw how we live but I can't get up enough gumption to actually do something about it. If we had company once in awhile it might make me do something about the mess but since we only have someone else here at most once a year I don't have any pressing reason to clean.
